Using Search Filter in Ignite
Besides letting you search for prospects, Ignite also offers you a range of filtering options to zero down on prospects that are a perfect fit to what you sell. Let’s try and understand the optimal way to use the Filter Panel for your prospect search.
Accessing the Search Filter panel.
- Now that you know how to search for prospects using the Global Search Bar, let’s take a look at the Search Filter Panel. These filters can help you get the best fit for the solutions/product you sell and also helps you gauge their spending ability.
Note:
The lock symbol on the panel is used to lock/unlock
the filter panel. When locked, no changes can be
made to the filters.
The filter symbol on the right side of the panel
is used to close/open the filter panel on the search
results page.
Understanding the refining conditions in filters:
1 Search box filters - Type something and choose from a list of auto-suggested values.
2 Checkbox filters (single select or multi-select) - Select one or more values. You can also deselect one or all if needed.
3 Range filters - Search for businesses that have the signal value within the specified range.
Refining options on Ignite
Toggle Options:
1 Yes/No : Within many of these Filter Options is the ability for you to use the YES, No, and Neutral toggles. These toggles can be used in various combinations to help you hone in on the specific types of businesses you are seeking.
a. By default, the Yes/No toggle will be in Neutral (apart from Website filter) in gray color, when you toggle to YES or triggered ON it turns to green and when you toggle to NO or triggered OFF, it turns to red.
b. Use the YES toggle to identify those characteristics/capabilities Ignite should have in order for them to be considered viable prospects.
c. Use the NO toggle to call out the needs that potential businesses must have that your solutions can solve
d. As you start applying filters in the filter panel, a page called “Applied Filters” appears on the right-hand side of the filter panel. “Applied Filters” page dynamically shows the number of available businesses after applying each filter.
e. Click on ‘Find’ which is displayed at the bottom after applying all your desired filters.
f. Click on ‘Clear All’ to clear all your applied filters and reset your search results.
g. Clicking on ‘Clear All’ displays a popup that asks for your confirmation on clearing all the applied filters or not.
h. Click on ‘YES’ to clear all the applied filters.
i. Clicking on ‘YES’ clears all your applied filters and navigates you to the search results page that displays all the businesses present in your preferred market.
j. In the below example, let’s say you want to find businesses that are: Digitally Mature (have fundamental digital products in place) Have Budget (proven to spend money on digital marketing tactics) Need What You Sell - in this example we are using responsive website design Services as the solution you are selling.
k. Here’s how to use the YES/NO toggle to modulate BuzzBoard’s digital and technology signals to identify businesses in need of responsive website design.
|
Ignite Characteristics/Capabilities |
Corresponding Buzzboard Signals |
YES/NO Toggle |
|---|---|---|
|
Digitally Mature |
Website – Website Social – Facebook Social – Twitter |
YES |
|
Have Budget |
SEM – Google AdWords |
YES |
|
Need What You Sell |
Responsive Website Design |
NO |
l. Using the YES/NO toggle in this way will return a viable list of businesses that need what you sell. This will not only save you time but also provides you with talking points around their needs that you can use when you connect with them.
2 AND/OR: By default the toggle will be AND in between filters, using the AND toggle within a specific Search Option applies a logic to the search that all of these choices MUST be true.
a. Using the OR toggle within a specific Search Option applies a less stringent logic that all of the choices MAY be true.
b. In the example below, BuzzBoard will search for all Ignite that have a Facebook account OR Twitter Account, but both need not be true. In other words, the results will contain Ignite who have a Facebook account, a Twitter account, or both.
Social - Facebook: YES
Social - Twitter: YES
c. If you choose AND, BuzzBoard will search for all Ignite that have a Facebook account and Twitter Account. The results will contain Ignite who have a Facebook account and also a Twitter account.
3 Familiarize yourself with these toggles and experiment a bit. You will get the hang of it quickly and they will be enormously helpful for generating highly targeted lists of businesses quickly.
