Global Search Bar

Ignite helps you to find prospects that need what you sell, by leveraging BuzzBoard’s multiple signals to search the BuzzBoard SMB database. Once you identify viable prospects, you can add them to your BuzzBoard account and view details of the business. 

Buzzboard’s Global Search bar is available throughout the application to search for new businesses or profiles that are already added in your account, at a specific location.

Different combinations of search options will fetch different prospects, so it’s important for you to understand each option and how best to combine them to get the desired results.

1 The Global Search Bar(shown below) has the following components -

  • Location Bar
  • Keyword Bar
  • Magnifying Glass Icon (Indicating search functionality)

Search Options

Description

Location

Enter a Zip code, City or State name.

Note: Search cannot be conducted unless the location filter has been completed.

Business Name

Enter desired Business name

Category

Enter category of the Business.

URL

Enter the URL of the business,if you like to search for a specific business. 

Keyword

Enter a keyword which can be a category, a word from a business name or from a URL.

The Global Search Bar is available throughout the application. Use the bar to search for new prospects as well as prospects that have already been added to your account.

1 Enter the location and a keyword (a business name, URL, or category) in the highlighted area shown below of the search bar

2 By default, the location field will be set to the preferred market identified in your Settings > Preferences. If no preferred market has been identified, the location will default to the United States. To search outside the geography of your preferred market, enter a different location.

2.1 Postal Code Search (For UK only) : The UK postal code can be searched based on the section of the postcode, as well. For example, a typical postcode in the UK might look like "SW1A 1AA." The "SW" indicates the area of London - On searching for "SW" in the global search bar all the leads for that area will be visible in the prospects results.Likewise, when searching for SW1A all the leads in the district/sub-district will be visible. Similarly, when searching for a complete postal code the leads in that postal code will be filtered.

3 Once you have entered your location and keyword in the search bar, hit Enter or click on the search icon on the right-hand side of the search bar to initiate the search.

4 Recent Searches: Clicking on the keyword bar will display a drop-down with the latest five search words.

5 Auto-Suggestions: Auto-suggestions are shown after typing more than two letters in the keyword bar. These auto-suggestions can be for a business name intent, a category intent or a URL intent.

6 Once you have entered your location and keyword in the search bar, hit Enter or click on the search icon (magnifying glass icon) on the right-hand side of the search bar to initiate the search. This will take you to the search results page.

7 The relevant search results that match the keyword(s) and the location selected show up under the following tabs, respectively on the search results page.

7.1 New Prospects - This tab has new leads that you can add to your account.

7.2 Added Profiles - This tab has profiles that you have already added to your account.

7.3 Intent: The keyword bar clearly shows the intent of the search results.

7.4 By typing Category: Business: or URL: in the keyword bar, search results for matches with category, business name or URL will be shown, respectively.

7.5 Header Message: This section explains about the search results.

7.6 In case there are no exact matches for the search, BuzzBoard will provide you search results which are closely related.

7.7 Footer Message: This section provides an option to perform the search using an external source or to add a business manually.
