Facebook Custom Audience
You can synchronize your BuzzBoard Ignite contact (For US Only) and company emails with your Facebook Custom Audiences to run targeted ads.
Note:
You need to have a Zapier account, to integrate Ignite with your Facebook Ad account.
Zapier is a third party service that helps to connect web applications. You can use Zapier to connect Ignite with your Facebook Ad account to automate the flow of information. A basic zap in Zapier will include a trigger from Ignite and a correlating action in your Facebook Ad account.
Let's Setup Ignite & Your Facebook Ad Account With Zapier
By setting up Ignite with your Facebook Ad account using Zapier, you can have Ignite data automatically added to a Facebook Custom Audience. This article will review how to set this up.
Before we begin and Before you begin, be sure you have the following:
- An active Zapier account

An active Ignite
account
- Contact the BuzzBoard support team at support@buzzboard.com or call +1 (201) 708-2724 to enable Facebook Custom Audience for your Ignite account.
- An active Facebook Ad Manager account
- At least (1) Custom Audience in your Facebook Ad account and at least (1) profile in your BuzzBoard Ignite account
Find Ignite And Facebook Custom Audience On Zapier
1 To get started, login to Zapier and click on the Dashboard menu in the left navigation.
2 In the ‘Connect this app’ search bar enter and select Ignite and let us create the first Zap.
3 In the ‘With this one!’ search bar, enter and select Facebook Custom Audiences
4 When you have selected both of the apps, you will find an option to select a trigger and action. Under Ignite, In the ‘When this happens..’ pick list, select New Facebook Custom Audience as a trigger.
5 Under Facebook Custom Audience, In the ‘then do this!’ pick list, select Create Custom Audience as an action.
6 After selecting both the trigger and action, click on the Use Zap button.
Choose Your Ignite Account
7 After clicking on the Use Zap button, you will be directed to the Zap page. Since we have already selected New Profile as a trigger in Ignite, now you have to choose your Ignite account.
If your Ignite account is already linked to Zapier, you can choose it and click on Continue.
Otherwise, to connect your Ignite account, click “Connect an Account” and enter your API Key in the field. You can find your personal API Key under Settings > API Key Tab > Generate API Key in your Ignite account. (If the API access has not been enabled for your account, please contact your administrator or reach out to support@buzzboard.com)
8 Copy the Ignite API Key and enter it in the Zapier authentication window, then Click on Authorize so that Zapier has access to your Ignite account. Then click Continue to move to testing things.
9 Click on the Test Trigger button.
10 If the test is successful, you will see the BuzzBoard sample data and then you can click on Continue to set up the Facebook Custom Audience.
Connect Facebook Custom Audience
11 As you have already selected Facebook Custom Audience and the action, now you have to Sign in to Facebook Custom Audiences.
12 After you have successfully Signed In, click on the Continue button to map fields.
a. Select your Facebook Ad Account
b. Map Custom Audience Name
c. Enter the Description
13 Click on the Continue button to test things.
14 After running the test successfully, you can see the Facebook audience name in your Facebook Ad Account.
15 Now create a step for Webhook URL. ( This helps Ignite to fetch the Custom Audience ID to sync the audience email addresses ). Click on the + icon and search for Webhooks and select Webhooks by Zapier as an App Event.
16 In the Action Event, select Post and click on Continue.
17 In the Set up action, map the fields as below.

18 Click on Continue to test.
19 After you are done, you can customize and name your Zap. The final step is to turn it on in the upper right corner. Click to toggle the Switch ON.
Once your Zap is turned on, Zapier will run your action steps each time your trigger event occurs. You can view a log of all your Zap activity, including all the data that goes in and out of each of your Zap steps, in your Task History.
Let Us Create a Second Zap to Sync Email Addresses
20 In the Choose app & event, search and select Ignite.
21 Select New Contact in the Trigger Event and click on Continue.
22 Choose your Ignite account and click on Continue.
23 Test the trigger and click on Continue.
24 Now create an action. In the Choose app & event select Facebook Custom Audience.
25 Select Add Email to Custom Audience in the Action Event and click on Continue.
26 Choose your Facebook Ad Account and click on Continue.
27 Map the fields and then click Continue to test things.

e. Map Custom Audience Name
f. Map Email Address
28 After running the test, you can see the Facebook audience name and emails in your Facebook Ad Account.
Synchronize Contact And Company Emails From Ignite To Facebook Custom Audience
After setting up your Zap, you are now ready to synchronize data from Ignite to Facebook Custom Audience.

Sync Prospects & Profile Email Addresses
1 To find prospects in Ignite, enter your preferred location and the search intent in the global search bar and click on the Search icon. You can also find prospects by clicking on the Prospect menu in the left main navigation bar.
2 You can filter down the Prospects by applying the relevant filters in the left side filter panel. Click here to know more about using the filter panel.
3 Select the desired businesses by clicking on the check box next to the business name.
4 Click on the Add & Sync To Facebook action item on the right side overlay menu.
5 To Sync Profile Email Addresses that have already been added to your account, click on the Profiles menu in the main left navigation bar.
6 You can see the list of Profiles that have been added to your account.
7 Select your desired Profiles/Businesses by clicking on the check box next to the business name.
8 Click on the Sync To Facebook action item on the right side overlay menu.
9 A Sync Pop-up will be displayed, with the following options.

Displays the total number of prospects that you have selected. |

Total Email Addresses |
Displays the total number of business and contact email addresses for the selected prospects. |

Unique Email Addresses |
Displays the number of unique email addresses for the selected businesses. |

Duplicate Email Addresses |
Displays the number of duplicate email
addresses. Duplicates count is identified
by matching the email addresses with
the emails that are already available
in the selected audience name. |

Displays the number of email addresses that can be synced to the Facebook Audience group. (Total Email Address - Duplicate Email Addresses) |
10 Enter the Custom Audience Name to which you want to sync the emails. The Custom Audience Name will be automatically created in your Facebook Ad Account.
11 Enter the Custom Audience description (Optional).
12 Select the type of Email Addresses you want to sync to your Facebook Custom Audience. By default Business, Email Addresses and Contact Email Addresses checkboxes will be selected. You can select either of them or both.
13 Now click on Create & Sync.
14 Clicking on, the Custom Audience Name will be created and all the email addresses of the selected businesses will sync via Zapier to your Facebook Ad Account and you will see a success message.
15 If there is a problem with the Zap an error message will be displayed. You will need to be sure you set up your Zap properly in your Zapier account and try again.
Selecting The Existing Custom Audience Name
16 Next time you want to Sync email addresses, you can see the Custom Audience name that you have created previously and you can sync the email addresses to the same Custom Audience Name. Ignite will not sync the email addresses that have already been previously synced to the same Custom Audience Name, so you will have no duplicates synced.
Note:
You will only be able to view the Custom Audience names that you have created previously in Ignite.
17 You can also see the description of the Audience Name if you have given one while creating the Audience name.
18 Click on Sync to synchronize all the email addresses of the selected businesses to your Facebook Ad Account.
19 You’re Done. The sync will be initiated and all the email addresses will be synced to the selected Facebook Custom name and you will get a success message.
