Deleting a Competitor

Analyze only relevant competitive information about your prospects/customers

In some cases, the Competitors listed on the Competition page may not align with your business’ idea of their competition. Getting feedback from a business on the report is a good sign of engagement, and it can help craft a more relevant analysis of the competitive landscape. When a business indicates that different businesses should be listed in the report, you can easily remove the less relevant businesses and add any new ones to the page.

1 Click on the Profiles icon in the left navigation panel.

2 Select a desired business profile card on the Profiles page.

3 You will be taken to the Profile Summary page for that business. The Summary tab is selected by default.

4 Click on the Competition tab.

5 You will be taken to the Competitions page where you can analyze the nearby competitors of the selected business.

6 You can see maximum 3 competitors for a profile on the Competitions page.

7 In case, you find a competitor irrelevant or want to add any other competitor, you can delete an existing competitor from the list of competitors shown on the page.

8 Hover your mouse over the Business Name/Buzz Score icon of the competitor you wish to remove from the list. You will see a list of options available for that competitor.

9 Click on Delete for that competitor.

10 You will see a confirmation popup verifying if you want to remove the competitor or not.

11 Click on Yes if you want to delete the competitor. Click on No if you do not want to delete the competitor.

12 If you click on No, you will see the same page with the same set of competitors as before.

13 Clicking on Yes in the popup will remove the competitor from the Competitions page. The page will now show only the remaining competitors.

14 Since there is room available to show another competitor in the Competitions page, an Add Competitor button will now be visible.

Note:

The Add Competitor button will not be displayed if there are already three competitors added on the page.

15 Click on the Add Competitor button to add a competitor of your choice. Click here to learn more about adding competitors.
